Each year The Joe & Amy Meek Scholarship Foundation awards high school seniors from Crystal River High, Lecanto High, and Citrus High with $500.00 scholarships to attend college. The Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) corporation and is dedicated to helping students attend college. To receive the scholarships, senior students from the eligible schools must apply using an application we provide, and the winners will be selected by the board of the Foundation. There will be a minimum each year of three scholarships awarded, one from each school. This foundation was founded by Joseph C. Meek III and his wife Amy Meek. Both Joe & Amy were 1998 graduates of Crystal River High School, and are very interested in the education of our youth. They are both graduates of the University of South Florida, and realize the importance of a secondary education. Amy worked in the Mortgage Banking business for many years and has been involved in numerous professional organizations. Joe is the President and owner of JCM Development & Investment Corp, a development firm, and the Vice-President of Citrus Builder, a home building firm in Florida. Joe is involved with numerous business organizations and committees that benefit our area. To apply for a scholarship: |
